IRIS Ticketing Solutions giving Theatr Hafren something to smile about
Theatr Hafren’s audience will have more than top Welsh comedian Rhod Gilbert to smile about when the new Autumn season launches in September this year. For the first time ever they will be able to book tickets online through the theatre’s website, following the introduction of IRIS Venue from IRIS Ticketing Solutions. And using the marketing functionality integrated with IRIS Venue, the theatre can send campaign emails and track responses to help them understand the purchasing behaviour of their audiences.
Del Thomas Marketing Manager at Theatr Hafren commented, “We plan to go live with the new service and our updated website on 1st September with tickets for Rod Gilbert and plenty of other shows to coax people to book online. We are sure it will be a sell out and a great way of introducing the new online sales channel to our local audience. IRIS Venue will revolutionise how we sell our tickets.”
“We really wanted an integrated system where we could sell through all channels from one system. Unfortunately our previous system, Databox, did not have an online solution that we could afford and as a result we had to change supplier. We did our research carefully and have looked at several systems over the past few years to find one that can be used for all aspects of our ticketing and make things as simple as possible for us; IRIS Venue fits the bill. Our Box Office staff are also really looking forward to the IRIS Ticketing Solutions system implementation which was not quite what I had expected! ” He continued.
Manoj Ladwa, Commercial Business Manager at IRIS Ticketing Solutions commented, “We are delighted to be working with Theatr Hafren and have put together a very cost effective solution for them. They were able to talk to other users of the IRIS Venue system, such as the Wolverhampton Grand who were able to reassure them that IRIS Venue would fit their requirements, and hear about the other benefits the system brings such as the integrated marketing tools.’
In summing, Del said, “Through IRIS Venue we’re developing another sales channel allowing us to extend our appeal to younger audiences who are used to buying online and offering a convenient service for those who want to buy tickets as soon as they see a show advertised – whatever the time of day. We can send up to date, HTML marketing emails where people can click through and buy their tickets, and then be able to report on their buying behaviour – our audience could be very active already, we just don’t know it at the moment!
